bluedad - Paradise (with Horse)

Sumiton, Alabama, USA

Bluedad

bluedad began writing songs during Christmas holiday 1968, when he received a new guitar and the Beatles White Album as presents. Horse plays guitar for a UK rock band.

""Paradise" just popped out one evening after a day listening to 'The Queen is Dead' by the Smiths. Of course, it sounds nothing like the Smiths. Seems like there had been some rioting in the streets of some third world country that was distressing to hear of.. I created a demo track and played it for some friends. One of them (Horse) asked me to send him only my guitar, vocal and harmony tracks which I was more than happy to do. A few weeks later he presented me with this version of "Paradise.""

It's just another day
to work and play
Life goes on for the living.
Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes
Mother Nature's forgiving

It's just
Another day in Paradise on this blue planet
It's just
Another day in Paradise on this blue planet.

It's just another day
to make war
And riot in the streets.
Indigenous little babies and their mamas' cry
Cause there's nothing left to eat

It's just another day,
young daddies die
Politicians lie, and pad their pockets.
All the while, the circle turns.
We're helpless to stop it.
